I think the reason why Disney and most of Western Animation is losing their reputation to anime is because they lack of creativity, passion, and inspiration. Not to say they haven't made any good stories or entertaining shows lately, it's just more people wanted to be more challenges and any kind of art to influence them though their life rather than playing safe something unique instead of keep on remake classics in live actions or unnecessary adding more sequel after sequel. I get they make more money but does it help for quality wise?
I'm not going to watch Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender series because even if it's better than M. Night Shyamalan's movie, everyone knows it's a pointless adaptation since you just watch the animated series instead. So, why bother with it? Outside of romance, there aren't anything else that needs to improve from the original. It's perfectly paced, and perfectly structured, and give enough amount of time for our main characters (Aang, Sokka, Katara, Zuko, and Toph) to grow and developed. At least with Netflix's One Piece, it fixes the pacing problem from the anime series and helps to make it stand out from both the manga and even the anime. From I looked up the reason why Live Action of Avatar exist is to appeal more for Game of Thrones fans. Yeah, right. Even they can handle incest, gore, nudity, slavery and child-marriages but Sokka’s misogyny would be too much for them despite in the original, it helps him develop to respect women can be capable and strong warriors too and be
I forgot how amazing the Ceremonial Duel between Yugi and Atem was, and I regret not putting it in my Top 10 favorite finales. After the world is saved, Yugi grows to be more confident, completes Atem's journey to learn about his past, and defeats Yami Bakura for good, it's time for Atem to finally rest in peace but the only way for him to go to the afterlife is if he loses a duel fairly. So, Yugi steps in not only to help his friend, but also to prove to himself that he's ready for the world on his own. The Duel itself is one of my favorite duels in any Yugioh series where Yugi defeats all 3 Egyptian Gods at once and his own favorite card by not using rare cards, it's his clever strategies and wits. Plus, its even funny that Kaiba admits Yugi is the best in the anime version. And the ending is so heartbreaking because even Yugi won, its sad to see someone close to you let go but as Joey puts it "His stay wasn't as long as we wanted but we were glad we knew him at all." Thank you
